The power of a small community working together...
Prieska is a very small town in the Northern Cape, which I am proud to call my home town and I can say that I am proud of what we stand for as a community.
The people of Prieska is very active in assisting one another in times of need and now with the help of social media it appears that a helping is extended.

This Barbara Springbok on the street in Cape Town |
Barbara Springbok a citizen of Prieska was living on the streets in Cape Town for a number of years, recently a Facebook page called "Life on the street", posted a picture of her on Facebook. Thanks to one of Prieska's citizens who follows the page, Wayne Van Wyk, for sharing the post about Barbara on the page called "Keep Prieska Alive" on Facebook. The community members residing in Prieska effectively engaged on the matter and connect with the family members of Barbara. I can certainly say that with a community working together as one, everything is possible. The ability to help a fellow citizen being reunited with the family and with the welcome of the community is such a relieve to know that there are people who still cares.

Barbara dropped off at her mothers house in Prieska by Ronald February |
This is what happened over the weekend when the community held hands and heard the cry of Barbara Springbok to be reunited with her family. Thanks to Ronald February for his effort of picking up Barbara while he was in Cape Town and brought her home with him. This just show that when people wants to make a difference it can be done through the help of others
