The power of a small community working together...

Prieska is a very small town in the Northern Cape, which I am proud to call my home town and I can say that I am proud of what we stand for as a community. The people of Prieska is very active in assisting one another in times of need and now with the help of social media it appears that a helping is extended. Thanks to one of Prieska's citizens who follows the page, Wayne Van Wyk, for sharing the post about Barbara on the page called "Keep Prieska Alive" on Facebook. The community members residing in Prieska effectively engaged on the matter and connect with the family members of Barbara. Prieska was founded in 1882 and was granted municipal status in 1892. This outstanding property is situated on the Southern Bank of the Orange River comprising a total area of 41.112 hectare with 2100 meter of North facing river frontage. This area includes an Island of 4.7741 hectare.
